Sri Lanka tea pilot

Southern Tea

One of the growing regions where the PLANet-ZERO pilot is running with smallholders and bought-leaf factories.

About this region

  • Low-grown production in the southern coastal belt.
  • Almost entirely smallholder-supplied.
  • Dense collection networks feeding bought-leaf factories.
  • Warm and wet for most of the year, with less pronounced seasons.

A dense network of very small suppliers is the hardest case for supply certainty, and the most useful one to prove.

Part of the Sri Lanka tea pilot. We publish measured results only once they have been validated and the participants agree to publication.
