How it works
- A plucked sample is spread on a plain white sheet.
- One photo is taken on any phone — no special hardware.
- The image is assessed for the proportion of fine leaf against coarse.
- The reading comes back in seconds, in plain language rather than a score.
The point is speed. A quality reading that arrives days later cannot change how the next round is picked.
Part of the Sri Lanka tea pilot. We publish measured results only once they have been validated and the participants agree to publication.
