THE FORMULA

What the pilot is measuring

Auction outcomes, leaf quality, factory capacity, routing and weather all move the value of a day's picking. The pilot is testing how much each one actually matters.

1. Auction NSA

We look at Colombo Tea Auction outcomes by district and grade to understand what leaf is actually worth.

2. Quality & Urgency

We are testing whether leaf grade can be read reliably from a photo, and how factory capacity changes what supply is worth.

3. Route & Weather

Rain affects both leaf condition and how hard it is to move. We are measuring how much that shifts the outcome.
