Collector Tier System
A transparent ladder where the volume and quality a collector delivers is what determines what they earn.
How the ladder works
- Volume delivered is recorded against the collector, not estimated.
- Leaf quality is recorded alongside it.
- Both are visible to the collector, not only to the factory.
- The tier, and what it pays, follows from those two numbers.
The aim is that the rules are legible. A collector should be able to see why they are on the tier they are on.
Part of the Sri Lanka tea pilot. We publish measured results only once they have been validated and the participants agree to publication.
